The Dunes Port Hughes seeks developers
The Dunes Port Hughes is South Australia's largest planned residential and resort development. The 15 year project will eventually comprise over 2000 residential dwellings.
The Dunes Port Hughes is seeking interest from developers and operators for the establishment of world-class resort accommodation, leisure facilities and residential precincts.
The area is located 170km north of Adelaide and overlooking Spencer Gulf.
Construction of a 18-hole championship golf course is already underway in the precinct, which has been designed by legendary Australian golfer, Greg Norman.

SA’s major projects stand at record value
South Australia is continuing to show its economic resilience with Premier Mike Rann recently announcing the State’s major developments are currently valued at a record $71.5 billion.
Projects in defence, urban development, minerals and energy are said to be driving the current figure.
Premier Mike Rann released the figures at the recent 2009 South Australian Investment Symposium, saying it is further proof the State is emerging strongly from the challenges of the global economic climate.
“Major developments are driving our recovery and bringing jobs, investment and renewed confidence to the South Australian economy,” Mr Rann said.
SA's employment figures at record high
The latest employment figures show a record number of 793 000 South Australians are in jobs, meaning the State’s annual rate of employment growth has now exceeded the national average for nine consecutive months.
The State’s unemployment rate has dropped to 5.3% to sit below the national average of 5.8%, while the participation rate has remained steady at 63.2%.
More than 50 000 training places will also be created over the next four years in the State to improve prospects for job seekers and address skill shortages.
Eromanga Uranium goes for gold
Adelaide-based company, Eromanga Uranium has commenced drilling at South Australia’s newest gold project, Nackara Arc Gold near Peterborough in the State’s northeast.
The first phase of drill-testing will begin immediately, following the company’s discovery of a 450-metre-long surface gold anomaly at the site in July this year.
The announcement came within 48 hours of the global sport price for gold reaching a new record high of US$1,174 an ounce.
SA electronics company exports major order to Indian Army
Adelaide-based company, Minelab Electronics, is preparing to export nearly 3000 of its metal detectors in one of the biggest deals the industry has seen for ten years.
Minelab’s F3 metal detectors will be sent to the Indian Army as part of an agreement with the Indian Government. The technology will assist the Army to detect landmines and explosive devices during routine security checks.
As a result of the deal, Minelab also created dozens of jobs at its new 24-hour manufacturing facility in Adelaide.
