The 2009 Annual Dinner was a tremendous success with more than 650 proud South Australians coming together to celebrate the State in style!

FOOD AND WINE
Guests indulged in a four-course degustation featuring fine South Australian produce including Fergusons cold poached lobster and a selection of Grant Burge wines. The menu was prepared by three local chefs from Tasting Australia 2010 including Matthew Goodlet from Sparrow, Rebecca Stubbs from Chloe's and Melanie Gowers from the Adelaide Convention Centre.
ENTERTAINMENT
The 2009 Annual Dinner showcased several unique South Australian talents, including the amazing opera singer, James Pratt. Adelaide show band, Blackjack also performed on the night, while visual entertainers from The Geo Family and The Splodges interacted with the audience.
2009 SOUTH AUSTRALIAN OF THE YEAR AWARDS
In a first for the event, the 2009 South Australian of the Year and Young South Australian of the Year were announced at the Annual Dinner.
Prominent trauma specialist, Dr Bill Griggs AM ASM was named as the 2009 South Australian of the Year, while engineer, Julian O'Shea won the 2009 Young South Australian of the Year Award. Winners of the 2009 South Australian of the Year category awards were also recognised at the event.
